I am a multimedia
designer and artist.

Hi, nice to meet you—I’m Jannelle!

Jumping across creative roles and different types of media, I've spent my career exploring and evolving through design. I’ve been an artist ever since I was a kid, following in my dad’s footsteps, whether it was photography, drawing, or editing. He sparked my passion early on and taught me many of my skills I still use today.

Growing up, I always loved to play video games, and that’s what inspired me to attend
Vancouver Film School, where I studied Game Design and majored in 3D modelling. I worked on 2D graphics, 3D objects, with creating their textures, and collaborated on many key design decisions. It taught me a strong sense of foundation in visual storytelling, knowing how to create an engaging experience for the user, and team collaboration.

After graduating, I transitioned into content creation and visual branding, designing graphics and video content with a strategic purpose that reflects my creative personality. Whether it's social media posts, vlogging, or campaign visuals, I love creating work that not only looks great but also connects to the viewer. (You won’t find me anywhere without my ZV-E10 camera.)

Outside of work? You’ll probably find me grinding video games, adding to my Pokémon card collection, or finding a new sushi or matcha spot to obsess over. I pull a lot of creative inspiration from everyday life and bring that into the work I do. I always look for ways to make content that feels fresh, honest, and community-driven.

Project timeline for design process

    • Studying the market, tracking industry trends, and examining competitors.

    • Finding the end goals and objectives that we want to achieve.

    • Identify target audience and platform (Instagram, Facebook, Linkedin, TikTok, etc.)

    • Gather content images & branding assets

    • Creating mood boards, taking from Pinterest/Google

    • Looking at references, brainstorming and creating mockups and layouts on Figma or paper

    • Finding the correct colour pallets, moods, aesthetics, and typography

    • Creating different versions, 3-4 of the rough layout

    • Seeking feedback, making slight iterations based on feedback

    • Proposing the design idea, seeking approval

    • Making the full design graphic in Figma, Illustrator or canva

    • Evaluate users satisfaction and iterate based on feedback

    • Creating content with proper resolution platform specs

    • Sharing designs with the team or the client and taking feedback

    • Improving the design based on input received

    • Making sure that the design is cohesive and consistent with the brand's alignments

    • Export graphics or videos, with proper file names and file types

    • Uploading the graphics to Social media, or sending it over to the client
